Fashion At Belsay 2004
FAB was a major arts and fashion exhibition presented at Belsay Hall, Castle and Gardens in 2004, curated by Judith King.
On behalf of English Heritage, King invited thirteen of the country’s most exciting and creative fashion designers to respond to the magnificence of Belsay Hall and to create new interiors, film or installations. The results ranged from Stella McCartney’s Lucky Spot – a crystal horse made from 8000 Swarovski crystals – to contemporary film projected into ceiling voids within Belsay Castle by Hamish Morro.
Fashion At Belsay was funded by English Heritage, Arts Council England, Northumberland Strategic Partnership, and the Northern Rock Foundation.
