About Staff & Volunteers
To ensure the project has the support of the people who will meet the public, it is important to take time to explain the rationale of the project and to introduce staff and volunteers to the artists. Volunteers can become powerful ambassadors of a project and can help in writing engagement information as well as developing other initiatives for visitors. The key message is to involve them as early in the project as is possible.
For more information on working with volunteers, read about Arts&Heritage’s new partner project Volunteer Voices, which considers the key role Heritage Volunteers can play in interpretation, and the training that needs to develop to support this.
