Harry Pearson

Harry Pearson is a sports columnist for the Guardian and the author of numerous books, including Racing Pigs and Giant Marrows, Travels Around North Country Fairs, which was runner-up for the 1996 Thomas Cook/Daily Telegraph Prize and The Far Corner A Mazy Dribble Through North-East Football, which was short-listed for the William Hill Prize.

His most recent book Slipless in Settle: a Slow Turn Around Northern Cricket was the 2011 MCC/Cricket Society Book of the Year. Harry’s experience as a sports critic has been instrumental in ensuring that The Great Boxing Booth Revival reflects its historic routes and he is the main contact for all sporting organisations that we propose to partner with.
