Just announced: for 2024 / 25 the National Trust will be working with contemporary artist and composer, Liz Gre, who will explore the spirit of Lindisfarne Castle through a sound and sculptural installation.

Liz Gre will present an installation inspired by the voices of Holy Island, placed in-situ as an interactive sound and light sculpture in the Upper Gallery at Lindisfarne Castle.

The sculpture will use weathered raw materials: such as salt, glass, limestone, sand and wind, and visitors will be invited to engage with the piece physically; exploring cacophony, non-linear time, embodiment of place, co-existing memory and imagination.

The installation, created with support from A&H, will open in early 2024.
