Arts&Heritage (A&H) is an agency working across the UK to forge connections between artists, communities and historic sites and museums. We challenge how heritage is explored by centring artists that have a participatory or people-based practice and increase the diversity of voices within the stories presented in heritage contexts.
We are looking to employ a part-time Communications Assistant, initially for a 3-month fixed term period, to work alongside the team through a particularly busy time. The A&H team works remotely so the role involves working primarily from home. The post holder will support the delivery of our digital communications activity (social media, newsletter, website, podcasts & other online channels) around an exciting portfolio of contemporary projects across the country. This freelance role can be easily combined with other work or studies as the spread of the 14 hours across the week is flexible.
We are looking for someone with strong digital literacy and excellent organisational skills, who is self-motivated, used to working with multiple social media platforms and Word/ Excel packages and a great communicator. You must be able to work from home and feel comfortable with working at a distance from your colleagues for much of the time. You will have experience of managing multiple priorities and working to support partnerships.
All of our team needs to possess a genuine commitment to the principles of equal opportunity, cultural diversity and broadening access to the arts.
Arts&Heritage is committed to promoting diversity and inclusivity. We would particularly like to hear from candidates who may not have a background in the arts and believe they have transferable skills relevant to the post.
