A&H Symposium – Mon 14th November 2022

We are delighted to announce our upcoming, day-long symposium: The Art of Remembering – Research, Action, Healing on Mon 14th November 2022, jointly hosted by Arts&Heritage (A&H) Curatorial Forum and Newcastle University’s Institute for Creative Arts Practice. 

The symposium takes place at the Boilerhouse, Newcastle University and is free to attend but booking is required. The day will run from 11am-5pm, with lunch and refreshments provided.

Invited artists, curators, and researchers discussing their approaches to the themes of conflict, collective loss and unresolved histories include Linda Norris – Director of International Coalition of Sites of ConscienceJean-Francois Manicom – Curator of Transatlantic Slavery & Legacies, International Slavery Museum,  Dr Gonul Bozoglu (Newcastle University), Dr Gayle Meikle (Newcastle University) and artist Enam Gbewonyo.
